Bring your devices onto the DECT NR+ network

The NR+Node is a battery-powered, multi-sensor node built to deploy a DECT NR+ network fast: the first non-cellular radio standard recognised as 5G — long range, mesh, no operator and no subscription. It pairs a Nordic nRF9151 (NR+ radio and Arm Cortex-M33 host) with an nRF54L15 companion SoC for Bluetooth LE 5.4 and NFC.

Its open-source NR+ stack is ready to use: ultra-low-power Zephyr firmware, FT/PT roles, mesh-ready networking, sensor acquisition and logging to flash, and commissioning by a simple NFC tap or from a smartphone over BLE. Security is designed in from the start: secure boot, signed firmware (Arm TrustZone) and OTA updates over the NR+ network — aligned with the Cyber Resilience Act.

  • 3 onboard sensors: climate (Sensirion SHT40), motion (ST LSM6DSL 6-axis IMU), magnetic (ST LIS2MDL)
  • USB-C rechargeable, Li-ion battery management by Nordic nPM1300 PMIC with fuel gauge
  • 2 MB SPI flash for local data logging
  • Configurable user button and RGB status LED
  • Battery / expansion connector (JST PH)

Typical applications: industrial monitoring (vibration, machine temperature), smart buildings (indoor climate comfort), asset awareness for mobile equipment, and long-range telemetry for utilities and metering.

Development kit, not a finished product: the NR+Node is designed for lab evaluation, prototyping and development by technical teams — not for placing on the market or commercial deployment as-is. It is therefore not CE/RED certified. If you integrate this module into a final product intended for sale, certifying the resulting product remains your responsibility — and that's exactly the kind of support our design office provides.

Frequently asked questions

Is this product CE/RED certified?

Not yet. The NR+Node is a development kit meant for lab evaluation and prototyping, not a finished product sold as-is. If you integrate it into a final product intended for sale, RED/CE certification of that product remains the integrator's responsibility — our design office can support exactly that kind of work.

Can this kit run our own firmware?

Yes — the NR+ stack is open source (Zephyr firmware) and designed to be forked and adapted. Start from our reference firmware or build your own on the same hardware base.
